2020/2021 Prospect Bidding

Prospect bidding will begin on August 15, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. EST.

(a) Owners will use prospect points to bid on eligible players.
(b) Each owner gets 50 prospect points per season.
(c) Prospect Points cannot be traded.
(d) At no time are you allowed to have more than 50 prospect points allotted as the highest standing bid. Doing so will invalidate your bid. If we miss invalidating a bid, see below for penalty.
(e) There is no rollover of Prospect Points. If you do not use your Prospect Points during the offseason, then you lose them.
(f) Prospect Points for each team will be listed on the first post of the Prospect Bidding Forum.
(g) You must outbid by a minimum of 1 points for the bid to be valid. A bid must stand for 24 hours before it is official.
(h) All bids must be whole integers.
(i) If you win a player through Prospect Points, they will be given their NHL contract. If they do not have a contract with an NHL team, they will have no salary, until signed in real life.
(j) After a bid of 50 is placed on a prospect, all teams with available points have 24 hours to match the bid of 50. The prospect will be awarded to the team who is lowest on the waiver order and be placed at the end of the waiver list.
(k) Prospect bidding is closed at the 2020/2021 NHLDL Trade deadline, and prospect points will then reset to 50 points per team.

Any currently winning bids cannot exceed 50, for example if you bid on Player X with 30 you cannot have a total of 20 more points on other players unless you're bid of 30 is beat. This is to prevent teams from going over the 50 allotted points. The RC will try to monitor and invalidate bids that put teams over the limit but in the event we do not catch it and player(s) are won putting a team over the 50 point limit that team will have their winning bids invalidated and the players back up to auction. The offending team will also have their remaining prospect points removed and be ineligible to bid on prospects again until the following off-season.

A player is eligible for prospect bidding if the following conditions are met:
-If not signed to any type of NHL contract: Born between Dec 1, 1994 - December 31, 2000
-If signed to an NHL contract: Is on an ELC contract (first NHL contract expiring as RFA)

-Has not played a single regular season NHL game (1 game for skaters, 1 NHL start for goalies)

Please make a new thread for each player (do a search first to make sure they're still available before posting)

-Only put the players name in the posting (position is optional if you want to add that)

-Post a link to the players EliteProspects profile in the OP along with your bid

-Make sure the player is eligible - birthday, NHL Contract or not, NHL games played

Once a bid has gone 24 hours without being beaten lock the thread. After the player is added to that team in the DB AND added on FT you can move the thread into the completed bids folder. Please do not move it into that folder until both are done so we don't miss anyone.
-Please also update the primary thread with the winning teams new bid points total - add the players last name and winning bid total next to each team so we know how they are at their current prospect points total, for example "20 - Tampa Bay Lightning - Smith (13), Jones (7), Williams (10)"
