Pare is considered a prospect and subject to prospect bidding per rule 9. He is not eligible for Free Agency yet

9. Prospect Bidding
a. During the offseason (after the NHLDL Cup Finals and before the Roster Submission Deadline), and only during the offseason, NHLDL Prospect Bidding will be available.
b. At all other times, UFA bidding (detailed in section 10 below) will be in force.
c. If a player has just lost their draft eligibility status as of the most recent entry draft (for the 2019/2020 season, 1999 born players and non-North American players born in 1998), but is currently unowned in the NHLDL, they are eligible for Prospect Bidding.

he was eligible for prospect bidding last year making him a ufa now as he was missed. For this off season that date will change to 2000’s

Also, if we gave Oley the other guy this week, shouldn’t the Bruins have first dibs on this guy?

Wasn't signed by Boston real life prior to 2019 draft so became a free agent. CHLers go back into the pool for one last draft if they aren't signed by their drafted clubs.

That's an NHL thing regarding how they treat CHLers. He wasn't Boston property at our roster lock.

But yea the prospect bidding needs some work.
