He's a UFA. Players eligible for prospect bidding were draft eligible in any draft from 2017-2019 and are current free agents. The idea here is bidding on guys like Tye Felhaber who would go on to sign a real life ELC. During this off season, I doubt there will be many as all the worth while ones have been signed to their ELC's and thus owned by a team here.

My bad I didn’t think he counted as a UFA!

My bad I didn’t think he counted as a UFA! No worries. You're free to make a thread for him, we just put the big ones to pre-populate some.

If any player is under 26, played less than 120 games (skaters) or 30 games (goalie) they will be waiver exempt and not count against your cap while in minors. Anyone that is over those thresholds will require waivers and will have a cap hit in your minors of salary less $1M. So any contract <$1M will have 0 cap penalty in minors.

My bad for these I haven’t been in a league like this in a while haha No worries. The rule of thumb here is that players are draft eligible for 3 seasons. After that we have prospect bidding system as the in between of draft eligible and free agents. Sort of like an auction on players exiting draft eligibility
