You can't terminate players on NHLDL contracts, they need to be bought out.

This is false. Bought out vs. termination is the same thing. NHLDL contracts that are terminated simply come with a penalty.

Semantics, I just meant Nate Thompson can't be terminated without affecting his cap. My take on the post was he thought he could drop all the players with no financial consequence. Not sure if others have contracts I didn't check, but knew Thompson did.

Clarifying this. Not terminating anyone. Just demoting to minors due to 2 way contracts or cuts or other reasons.

Nate Thompson will hold a 100k hit
