I find intentionally timed sabotages have much more impact when they're not forecasted. But compared to the incomparably sleazy unintentional sabotage, it's like a canary kicking an elephant. I don't think I even understood most of that. It seems you have me confused with someone else. I didn't bid on, nor trade for Markstrom. To be fair though, I may be misunderstanding you cause I was too busy setting timers to read it thoroughly.
I'm not going to sabotage anyone. I'm only going to bid on players I want for amounts I'm willing to pay. I'm just going to make sure I wait till the final few minutes to make my bids... depending on who has the high bid.

I don't have you confused with anyone. But if I were confused, I'd remain silent until I was certain about the topic/person/intent, etc... To paraphrase: Shit happens. It happened to me i.e. Markstrom (In a trade between teams neither of which is named Edmonton). It happened to you. And I suspect it's "happened" to everyone who has participated in the bidding process thus far. All I was saying by the bookend comment and the Markstrom comment, was...Shit happens. Nothing personal. Didn't plan it, etc, etc... On a necessary note, if there's a stipulation that penalizes teams who continue to participate in bids within the allotted 24 hours, then mea culpa. And if you're announcing that you're offended by teams bidding within those 24 hours, then you've just put out there that you're vindictive opposite (in my case) any team that bids on free agents you're bidding on. For the record, I have zero personal interest in your bids as a secondary exercise to frustrate you, Ray. Moreover, all bids are timed. Everyone goes through the process. I've lost several bids. The GMs that matched their players or outbid me have no reason to believe that in return to losing those bids, that I will now target them. That's...bizarre. But never mind all that. You successfully took my insincere light-hearted, completely well-meaning comments and unveiled my grand scheme to frustrate you by bidding at precisely 23 hours and 45 minutes as often as I could. Good thing for everyone you caught me on my first attempt. |
